Several years ago I purchased a whirlpool washer/dryer from Orville's that unfortunately required a lot of additional costs in repair work. I was frustrated but figured perhaps it was the brand and not the store that was the issue... until recently. A few weeks ago, Orville's came out to fix a leak in my washer, and charged me over 300. After the repair, the problem of leaking was not fixed, but they would not refund our money. That should have deterred me from using them again, but I'm a slow learner I suppose. Instead, I gave them more business. I purchased a LG stackable with a five year coverage that included all repair. I thought I was getting a good deal, and was happy, but that did not last long. Sadly, they delivered it today, and the dryer cord was too short to reach the plug! Obviously this is a design flaw that I could not anticipate (though they should have been prepared to resolve an issue like this, as it seems very simple to me). The delivery person told me I should see if home depot has a cord long enough to reach, and wanted to dump the issue on me and be payed and move on. I was frustrated, but called the store and attempted to find a resolution. I told them I would be happy to purchase a longer cord if they could tell me where to find one, as long as they could hook it up for me. They could not be bothered. The sales people are very happy to make a sale, but beyond that the service is poor. I will not use Orville's again.
They sold us a damaged fridge and said someone would come out and switch out the dented door when the parts came in. Received a post card a full month later saying that the parts are in. I called to make an "appointment", they only tell you what day they are available next and then they will call you that morning with a time window... So you just have to be available for the entire day. It's not my fault that they sold me a damaged fridge but they expect me to take an entire day off of work for them to fix their mistake. I even offered to pick up the new door myself, they said that i would be free to do so but it would completely void my warranty. I called and i emailed two separate departments explaining my situation, never received a response. They clearly don't care and i waited so long for the part to come in, the return window is now closed. So i will be living with my damaged fridge, thank you for nothing Orvilles.
